3 And now, they were sitting in Takanori’s living room, both laughing and talking about some random things. Kouyou found out that Takanori was even a bigger shopaholic than his own sister was, and Takanori found out which kind of music Kouyou liked - exact the same as he did. They surely had a lot of fun, until an almost deadly silence fell between them.
Takanori found it really awkward, not knowing what to say, but it seemed like Kouyou couldn’t come up with something either. He thought about what Yuu told him the other day.
“Tomorrow, I’m going to visit an old friend, it’s his birthday.”
Takanori raised his eyebrows. “Do I know him?”
The raven shook his head.
“When will you come home?”
“I don’t know. Maybe I stay over for the night - probably, since there will be a lot of alcohol, I suppose. So don’t wait for me and go to sleep whenever you want to.” Yuu noticed the little sparkles in Takanori’s eyes, how he tried to suppress a childish smirk.
“What’s going on in your mind…” he carefully asked, actually already knowing the answer.
“Is it okay if I ask Kouyou to come over for dinner or something?” Takanori asked smiling.
“Sure, that’s up to you. But make sure you don’t do something you’ll regret.”
Takanori smiled faintly. “I’ll be careful.”
Don’t do something you’ll regret.
What did he mean with that? Was he afraid Takanori would kiss and grope - and maybe even more - with Kouyou as soon as he had the chance? No, he wasn’t like that. Perhaps Yuu was just joking, making fun of him being in love, but the words still remained in the back of his mind. He was filled up with doubt.
When he turned his head from the window, he saw Kouyou glancing at him, and noticed a flicker of something he couldn’t quite place well when Takanori’s eyes met his. He quickly looked away. It was only now that Takanori noticed how pretty Kouyou actually was, how he was sitting like this.
His legs crossed, one hand resting on his lap, holding his drink in the other one. He looked out of the window, so his head was turned to the right, and he bit his lower lip. He was absolutely stunning, and Takanori couldn’t help but staring at him, even though he knew Kouyou would notice, it didn’t really matter. It was already late, and outside there was no sunshine left, only the twilight coloured the sky light orange.
Takanori honestly wanted Kouyou to stay over the whole night, but what was the point of that if Kouyou lived across the hallway? And where would he stay? He slept in a bed for only one person, though Yuu’s bed was a little bigger, he didn’t think Yuu would like it if he found out they made out on his bed.
“Do you mind if I get myself another drink?” Kouyou asked carefully, lifting his emptied glass on eyelevel, smiling sheepishly.
“Oh, not at all!” Takanori said. He stood up and reached for Kouyou’s glass. “I’ll get one for you.” When he took the glass out of his hand, his fingertips touched Kouyou’s accidentally, but the flicker of almost fear was really clear in the blonde his hazel eyes.
Takanori squeezed his lips together, turned around and walked to the kitchen, filling the glass with the alcoholic drink Kouyou liked so much. He was afraid, honestly, he really was. He heard a lot of stories about what too much alcohol could do to people and experienced it himself too - when he was on a party, it happened a lot that his friends passed out or started to make out with random strangers they didn’t even know, or worse; their own friends. Happily, Takanori knew the dangers of alcohol and didn’t drink much himself. But if Kouyou did, what if…
“Here’s your drink,” Takanori smiled while putting the glass in front of Kouyou. The blonde nodded, then followed Takanori with his eyes, watching every move he made. “I forgot to ask, how old are you by the way?” he asked.
Takanori sat down on the couch. “I’m turning twenty-five in February, you?”
”Ah, seems like I’m one year older than you are.”
“You don’t look older,” Takanori smiled, seeing how flattered Kouyou was as the faintly blushed appeared on his cheeks.
“You know, you’re adorable,” Kouyou suddenly blurted out, placing the edge of his glass between his lips, which were curved into a broad smile.
Adorable? Did he really say that out loud? And with that flirty smile…
Takanori felt a ticklish feeling in his stomach. Was this what they called those butterflies when he was in love? He didn’t know what to respond, he could say how amazingly beautiful he thought Kouyou was, but what if the blonde didn’t mean it at all like that?
Next thing Takanori knew, was that Kouyou was close, really close. He could see the flicker of pleasure playing in the blonde’s dark orbs, he could feel Kouyou’s warm breath against his lips, he could hear how Kouyou whispered something, but he didn’t understand what. It only sounded almost firmly yet gentle.
Why didn’t he notice Kouyou stood up?
He felt something warm against his lips, but not Kouyou’s breath - it was something pressing against his own, and it took a few seconds to realize that the blonde was kissing him. He was stunned, frozen, and no matter how much he wanted to respond this kiss and give into it, he couldn’t. His muscles were numb.
Kouyou pulled away, a faint smile remaining on his face, and he stroke the brown strands of hair out of the smaller man his face. When he saw the surprised, almost shocked look on Takanori’s face, he started to stutter, a hint of regret in his eyes: “I-I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have done that… I just-“
Slowly, Takanori shook his head. “It’s okay…” he whispered, not knowing what to do now. There was still that flicker of longing, pleasure or lust - Takanori couldn’t place it well - in his eyes as he stared at him, almost hypnotizing him as he wrapped his arms around Takanoi’s neck and shoulders and pulled him closer, taking him into his warm embrace and kissed him once again. This time with some more strength, still gentle though.
Takanori wanted to gasp for air in the suddenly surprise, but as he parted his lips slightly in a reflex, he could feel Kouyou making his way inside. It didn’t feel wrong, but it didn’t feel completely right either. But still, wasn’t this what he wanted?
Don’t do something you’ll regret.
He would surely regret doing more than this. Going further than this. Only one small kiss was already making his head spin. He opened his heavy-lidded eyes and threw a glance at the glass standing on the table. Alcohol - did Kouyou mean this all or was it because of the alcohol he had been consuming?
Kouyou placed himself on Takanori’s lap, one leg on each side of his body, never breaking the kiss. Takanori felt like a doll which was being played with, but it was nothing compared to how he felt before. When he felt like being used, it was completely different from now. Completely different. This felt rather good comparing to what happened back then.
When Takanori felt Kouyou’s hands playing with the hem of his shirt, an alarm rang in his head. They needed to stop here, or else he would do things he would regret afterwards.
Nervously, Takanori broke the kiss. “Kouyou, can we… Pause for a moment?” he whispered, making Kouyou look up with a surprised glance on his face. “What’s the matter?”
“Don’t you think we’re… That this is going a little too fast?” Takanori bit his lip nervously.
“Too fast? Too fast for what?”
“Y-you know… This. We only met a couple days ago, and you sure are a nice person, but I’m not sure if-“
Kouyou laughed, his chuckle as a warm breath against Takanori’s lips. “Come on, Taka,” he whispered, stroking through the smaller man his dark hair, “it’s sex, not love.”
A/N: No, this is not going to turn out as you think it will. I can hear your thoughts. I can. xD
