I just left a comment with my two cents' worth of cheer and advice. The HIPAA "opt out" is really an "opt in" -- non-fed-funded organizations don't have to consider pregnancy a non-preexisting condition for folks employed less than a year, nor do they have to abide if the organization has a smaller employee size & geog. scope. Boo. Health insurance and fed regulations are highly skewed against pregnancy, agreed. (Well done, pro-life religious right!)

I just get pissed about pregnancy being treated like a disease, only worse.
