I just heard about the first community this week and this is the first I've heard of 2,3 and 5. Have to say that the banner_grab one sounds like a particularly nice idea. Thanks for posting!

Fantastic recs! I'd never heard of banner grab. When I first came on lj I went to BTVS requests and asked for fan art for a story I was doing. I met a maniper I still think is wonderful. That is such a needed com for writers who would like a little something.

I hadn't heard of any of these coms but two.

What a great idea for a list!
I think seeking_spike is such a great idea. Often fic moves around and keeping track of the links is really difficult.
I love the idea of banner_grab, it's great to get people collaborating like that.
