I'm having lunch with Ken today. He asked if I could donate Universal tickets for some charity thingy, so I said sure and offered to mail them. He said no, we may as well use it as an excuse to get together. So yay, lunch with mah buddy Ken ( Read more... )

How did I miss that Casey picked up the flute?! Flute is the best!

Yeah, that's what she was assigned in the school band. It was her second choice (first was clarinet), but we're happy with it.

As for the Bush comment, yes I have raised her well. LOL

Good luck at the garage sale. We did a HUGE one in August of FIVE YEARS' worth of baby clothes, toys, equipment. Made $45. :((( Never wasting my time like THAT again!

We probably do this once every year or so, and Casey always rakes in huge amounts of money ($100-$200) because I let her keep the money from her stuff. I usually take a small fee though, because I do all the work and she didn't pay for any of that stuff to begin with, but she gets most of it. This time she wants to start a savings account with it.

Anyway, the best part is just getting rid of some of the clutter in the house. It's too small for all of our crap.

Well, we do it at my parents' house (5 minutes from mine) and the neighbhorhood has all theirs on the same day, so it attracts a lot of customers because people will come to cruise around to all the sales happening that day.

I love the sound of the flute....played right, it's one of the most loveliest instruments. My absolute fave is the clarinet, but my music teacher made me play the trombone/trumpet/tuba....BAH!!
