I was wondering what everyone's experiences with jury duty was like. I am number 638. I've been told that I am screwed. Do you think I'll have to go?

ahh I don't remember what number I was anymore, but I think it was like 333 and I ended up going on the first day. You just have to call the number and they'll tell you which day to come in. It was a pain to miss work, but it's not the worst thing ever. Bring a good book to read or something.

I'd like to know your experience if you wouldn't mind. I got called may 2, but postponed till august (it would be easier for me when my kids aren't in school)... and, I'm really not looking forward to it.

I was #67-something this past fall, and I called every morning but I didn't have to go in. I heard it's really hit or miss... good luck!

I went last summer and had to go because I had a lower number. I pretty much would have gotten picked, but one of my friends had died that week and his funeral was the day the trial started and I told them about it and they let me go with no problem, but of course that's a extreme circumstance. They seem pretty flexible and understanding, though. I end up getting paid for just going through the selection process, but only because I was unemployed I think.
