Can anyone recommend a good hair salon in/near Amherst? I just moved here this past summer for school and got a terrible haircut from a MasterCuts so... I'm looking for something better! And preferably not too expensive- I'm a poor college kid! Thanks in advance!

I'm also pretty weird about haircuts, and I went to Aveda in the Galleria and have been pretty happy with them. DeBairdini's is also pretty good. I need a trim soon, too. :X

R Salon on Transit is really good, the owners are really passionate about what they do. and its also a spa:)

Salon Avanti and Day Spa (it's in Kenmore,but it shouldn't be that far away).
It's on Delaware Avenue. I go there a lot and the people there are really nice.
I think each stylist has their own prices. You might want to call them and check...

Studio E on Evans and Hopkins, next to Blu Martini, is really nice. Haircuts are $30-35 depending on the stylist, and I never have to wait more than a few days to get an appointment. They have spa services, too.
