So! My band[Billy Draws Two] does weekly band-dinners where we go out and... indulge in deliciousness.

This week it's my choice and I need some ideas.
We're a fan of the amhearst-area and up for new and exciting things!!
We've done thai and classic burgers already...

I live in Amherst and I'm looking for a mechanic. I drive a VW Jetta, but it's a diesel too. Can anyone recommend me a trustworthy mechanic in my area? I need an estimate on my car for the repairs which need to be made (which is a lot) and I want to go somewhere that isn't going to hose me.

I haven't been bowling in ages and wanted to go with a bunch of friends this weekend. We live in Amherst. I checked out some of the bigger ones I knew of, like Transit Lanes and AMF, but... Can anyone recommend a dentist in the Amherst/Tonawanda/Williamsville area that does sedation dentistry? I am long overdue for a check-up, and I know I'm probably going to need some work done. Unfortunately, I am TERRIFIED of going to the dentist, and I have panic attacks just thinking about it. So please, help a girl out. Thanks!

Hello dorks! I was wondering if anyone knew of a good travel agent. I usually use the internet, but I have an international trip coming up with some tricky logistics, stuff that's really hard to arrange using the abysmal tools travel sites have to offer when it comes to international travel. I'd appreciate any pointers.

Can anyone recommend a good hair salon in/near Amherst? I just moved here this past summer for school and got a terrible haircut from a MasterCuts so... I'm looking for something better! And preferably not too expensive- I'm a poor college kid! Thanks in advance!

Where are some good happy hour places, or bars in the Amherst area for Friday nights?

This isn't a major problem, but I was wondering where there are places for large groups (9)?  I have meetings for my student teaching, and we need a place that is quiet or has a seperate room where many of us can sit and relatively low cost or free to sit/squander.  Some of us will buy food, drinks, etc., but some won't.  Most of us are student ( Read more... )
