i haven't had experience with the kenmore vet but i would recommend the wheatfield animal hospital. i live in kenmore too but during the october storm a couple years ago, wheatfield was the only one with power so i brought my cat there for boarding while we skipped town for a while. i've been using them ever since because the staff is so amazing and they aren't overly expensive and they take good care of the animals. the drive out there is worth it. my cat gets cranky at the vet too but they handle him well.

I just recently called the SPCA in Sanborn and as of Monday they had quite a few kittens. The SPCA in Tonawanda said that they had none on site, but they had many kittens in foster homes that would soon become adoptable. I'd call both. The Sanborn fee is something like $35 more expensive, but that's not too bad considering all that the adoption fee includes.

I take my cats to the Summer Street Cat Clinic. They are awesome. They only see cats, so no stress from dogs or other animals in the waiting room, and they seem to me to be reasonably priced.

We've adopted our three cats from Pieces of Heaven. A really sweet lady runs it out of her home and always has TONS of kittens. I'm sure you could find it online- I don't think I have her info anymore.

I use Kenmore Animal Hospital for my kitty because it's like two minutes from my house! (I live just off Kenmore Ave. a few blocks away.)
I had adopted a kitten that someone found in a box by the road, and brought her in and they were super-nice. The vet himself is just this mellow, Zen-like big bear of a dude, young and friendly and soft-spoken. The vet techs I interacted with were all quite nice, and one in particular was very good at dealing with my freaked-out baby cat. (Tiny and gray, with her tail all frizzed, she looked just like a squirrel.)

I just took her in for you know, the normal basic new-kitten stuff-- vaccines, spaying, etc.-- and they were super-nice. I haven't been back because she hasn't been sick-- I did mean to book a checkup, so thanks for reminding me!

I will also say that my boyfriend's mom took her 17-year-old cat there for the last few vet visits of her life, including her (unfortunately necessary) euthanasia, and felt very well-treated by them. So it's not just the super-easy healthy kitten stuff.

Do you happen to know their phone number? The one I found (873-5362) is a fax number (it does a loud screeching dial out tone when I use it.) And 716-200-4879 says it's not in service. :[ I can't seem to find it.

Oh dear! I remember the first number I called for them went to another vet's office, but they knew the right one to give me. I don't have it written down anymore, though! (I remember it started with 200.)
Dang it, I think the one I had was the one that's going to the fax, above. That's a real pain-- they were still there last I looked, but maybe they moved or something. That would be a bummer. I did find the vet's name-- Joshua Bruzgul-- he was the one who was so nice and mellow. But I can't find any more info!
Bummer.

It's okay. I'll just go to a different one. It doesn't look too good for them if I can't find an updated number anywhere. lol
