Everytime I go in the SPCA in Tonawanda, they always have kittens too. I know you need to pre-register, but that involves have a vet's name handy, proof of address, etc. It doesn't take long and can be done the same day you adopt. I would say that would be a good idea because they set you up for a free vet visit when you adopt, has had initial shots, and has been spayed, etc. Good luck in finding a new pet.

Kittens available year round blondebaroness January 1 2009, 01:19:09 UTC
Kittens are (unfortunately) available year round. It used to be just a spring thing back when I visited the SPCA Wisker Wagon in 1999. I visited on a Thursday and she asked questions about which vet and would my land lord approve...but there were no kittens. I visited again on Friday and there was one kitten, my black kitten, my Nyxie and we played for a while and then she curled up on my lap, stuck her foot in her mouth and began to suck on it and to purr and make kitty biscuits for a minute or so and then she fell asleep. She matched my jumper so sheds are never a problem (I wear a lot of black and navy, being a pre-school teacher.) 9 years later she's sitting next to me, on the desk, while I type. She was just between me and the keyboard a minute ago (I can type with out looking.)

I got some good comments when I posted a question about vets a couple of months ago.
