AMERICANS TYPE IN CAPS

At least, that's my observation. I process boring requests for information all day, and I've noticed a higher incidence of ALL CAPS MAILING INFORMATION on American orders. I don't like it; it looks like yelling. Maybe that's the point, who knows ( Read more... )

I write in capitals but type in normal. Explanation: I must be Canadian AND American. (It's true)

This should be a sociological study.

Do you write in "small caps", that is, do you write with all upper case letters but just make capital ones bigger?

Uh....yes? I think so. Sometimes all the letters are the same size. It depends.

So which do you hate more? People who write in all caps to avoide choosing when to capitalize, or those who never captilize, seemingly not caring about it at all?

"Couldn't hear writing"

Back when I worked helpdesk we had a "Curriculum Developer" who never used the shift key OR punctuation. It made her editor's job a living nightmare, and it was always a fun game of "Try to figure out what she needs this time". Apparently, someone once asked her why she never did it and she said "it takes too much time to hit the shift key and/or puncuation and distracts me from my writing"
