when I turned 40 I organized and open mic for as many people as possible to get up on stage and perform. Not songs or poems about me but just because those were the folks I love and loved and who I wanted to be around when I hit that milestone. It was a great time. Plus it allowed folks from all my various worlds (sports, work, athletics, family..or whomever) to meet and greet with each other. It was wonderful.
