I started writing a book about this time last year. It was kick-ass. It was a story about a girl who ran away from an arranged marriage to join the army and become a badass fighting machine who survives an entire war. As I watched the Obama Inauguration last night, I was struck by the change in the world over the last century. Obama said in his speech that sixty years ago, his father would not have been served in a restaurant.
