Hello... LiveJournalers? or however you're called on here, My Name is Anim3Fan4Ever or Jeremy, or (insert random nickname)!!!
I've been asked by fairygrrl45 to answer some questions so here they are! But first a lil about me?
My name is Jeremy, I know, repeating myself, I'm 17 goin on 18, Live in Holland, I'm into Guys, So yes I'm gay. Let's seee, I'm a BIIIG BTR Fan, I like gaming, Anime(duh!) and ofcourse reading and writing!(Just fanfiction) I'm a grammer and spelling Nazi as I've been nicely dubbed by my friends and I looove talking to people online! Mostly cuz I prefer English over my native tongue. How was that? now onto the questioins! (BTW I feel like I'm gonna be in some magazine or something xD)
Q1: So I scoured fanfiction.net and snatched you up, a diamond in the rough if you will, but I actually don't know anything about rpgers in general so why don't you tell us a bit about what rpgers do and what you do as a role play gamer?
A: What we do is basically come up with a sort of 'mini plot' if you'd will, and we post that on a forum, then we wait for anyone who's interested to join and pick one of the characters that are needed to start them, or put in their OC's (Original Characters) which they made up. From there we start posting in the point of views of our characters based on their personality of the storyline given.
Q2: How'd you fall into role playing?
A: How'd I fall into Role playing is easy, I met this crazy chick from New Jersey, we started talking she asked me if I was interested in RPG, She exlained what it was and started up a forum of her own where she and I could start out with. At the time I didn't know what to do but she coached me through it. and now here we are.
Q3: Is it anything like writing at all? Would you say it's harder or easier, and why?
A: Yes, it's similar to writing, It's like a co-op writing style where you only write what your choosen character does or say, with exceptions when you say something like: 'I laughed when (Names) did ( Something)' which is usually used when an RPGer is not present for a while. A lot of people would think it's harder than writing but actually it's easier seeing as, if you get stuck, you just say so and one of your co-RPGers might know something or be able to help you out, unlike with normal writing.
Q4: How long was your longest rpg?
A: At the moment the longest running Role Play contains 3,508 posts and is still running until the RPGer I'm doing it with has recovered her Internet connection so that post count might change soon.
Q5: As fiction varies in rating do role play games also vary in rating? (This is my subtle way of asking if you've ever role played a sex scene, and was it awkward?)
A: hahah yes, we roleplay in all ratings. Though I must confess, on fanfiction we've been told multiple times it's against the 'guideline rules' Though we paid no heed and have been thinking of putting a warning out on the 'Rules' Topic. So yes, we've been doing a lot of sex scenes. And as one of my friends says: "All we do is make them sleep, have sex or eat"
Q6: When you're role playing with multiple people, does it ever get confusing holding onto the conversation? How do you keep on track?
A: yes it can be confusing, especially when you and one of the others post at the exact same time and get stuck. Though the most people in one RPG so far has been 4 people since we're just a small group of people. The way we keep track is... I actually don't know. I myself always look above my last post time from time to check if I didn't miss anyhting. most of the times we have them in two seperate groups so it's easy to keep track. it gets harder when you've got to 'double post' (AKA you got one character in one place and the other in another) That's the general idea I'd say.
Q7: Any role play besties or best places to role play BTR for our members that are interested? ;)
A: This will be selfpromoting because I've only ever RPGed on one forum with my group of friends. Technically two because the previous one got deleted by one of my friend's accounts that got hacked, but I've never RPGed with anyone other than those on the forum. Though if you're a big BTR fan and like to get into roleplay or if you already are and you want to join just search for the forum: Big Time Roleplay II, I am the moderator along with one of my friends(who shall remain nameless due to the fact she changes her username almost as frequently as one has to use the bathroom) but search for me, Anim3Fan4Ever as the forum's moderator.
