In my last snark, I asked which book I should snark out of the 3 I was considering. This one won by unanimous vote! And, flipping through it, I could totally see why. I honestly don't think I've even opened this book since the last time I read it (I'm pretty sure I got it for Christmas in 2nd grade, so the last time I read it was more than 15 years

I've ranted this before but I hate that Karen says she's a Two-Two like Jacob Two-Two because it has nothing to do with having two of everything - he just says everything twice because he's the youngest in his family and nobody ever listens to him. Also he's two plus two plus two years old in the first book.

I'd love to read the Jacob Two-Two books! He seems like such a sweet kid on the television show. I always want to swoop in the TV and snatch him away from his parents.

I loved the Henry books. I love most books by Cleary, actually, because I've NEVER seen childhood captured so well. Except maybe Calvin and Hobbes.

I agree. Cleary wrote it like it is. Do you remember Ramona stomping her foot and yelling "I'm going to say a bad word!" That was classic. Wasn't the word something completely innocuous, like "junk" or something?

and does every kid in Stoneybrook call ice cream "ackaminnie"? Karen did and Squirt does and i swear there is at least one or two more. it must have been one of those things that really happened to AMM so she throws it in every chance she gets.

nd it always bothered me that she only referenced "Jacob TwoTwo and the Hooded Fang." "Jacob TwoTwo and the Dinosaur" was way better.
