luckily dawn doesn't use this as an excuse to tell them all about her real life secret passage and how it's "haunted" but probably only because she doesn't get a chance to, since the kids start freaking out about ghosts, especially andrew, since he's been severely traumatized by karen. he 'look[s] over his shoulder and mutter[s], "i don't like ghosts."'--I just feel so much sympathy towards Andrew in regards to stuff like this because you know NOBODY will tell Karen to knock it off with the ghost stories and actually mean it ( ... )

There was a scene in Claudia and the World's Cutest Baby where Claudia wanted to go get a snack from the kitchen and Kristy said she had two minutes, so Claudia had to bust her ass to get the stuff instead of being like, "Bitch, it's my house. Fuck off."

That info dump about how recycling is good and pollution is bad was so boring. I really wish that when Dawn was bitching at Claudia for her candy, Claudia would have just been like, "Whatever," and kept eating.

yeah, that really was boring. this book is mostly dull and obnoxious. maybe not lecture your friends and everyone around you, dawn. people don't tend to respond well to being lectured. there are much better ways to get the point across. she's so self righteous and obnoxious. she just has to be a martyr all the damned time. ugh.

I'm like a fifth of the way through this snark and even I want some caffeine, reading all that about how they've forgotten to decide on the venue and time. I love how both Dawn, who is repeatedly established as sooo organised, manages to forget something as basic as that for an event. Beecham and Hillgartner, seriously, were you guys smoking some of Sharon's weed? And I actually kinda like it when the ghosties namedrop students from previous books because at least it shows they've read the freaking books. This Todd Long person - who is he?

Excellent snark! I applaud you getting through the kids class chapters. They ARE mad boring. And again, their overblown reactions are SO annoying! You almost expect them to say 'Oh, my stars and garters! Not the FISH!!' And Dawn constantly chuckling over them makes me want to barf a cow. Like we GET it ghosties! You think kids are cute! Stop shoving it down our throats! Maybe it's because I don't like kids at even the best of times, but it just makes me blegh. And that you put 'Saves' in quotes made me almost pee myself. I just imagine Dawn screeching 'I am helping! I AM! Look at me! Aren't I the greatest?! Please validate me!' Sit down, Schafer. Shit down and shut the fuck up.

aww, i'mma tell her you said she's cute! lol. she is a sweetheart. :) she's extremely vocal at times, which can either be super cute or super annoying -- depends on my stress levels/how awake i am at the time/if i have a migraine. lol. but i love her, she's totally my child, i don't need no human babies! lmao.

LOL to everything you said. so fucking true. this whole book is so fucking heavy handed with everything -- be it dawn's sudden hard-on for recycling or the "d'aw! aren't kids CUTE! they say the DARNEDEST THINGS!" bullshit. they are really trying to shove it all down our throats with a damned dump truck and it makes it all the more annoying. i hate this book. i can't wait for it to end, honestly. lol.

i'm about ready to lose my shit because the landlord still hasn't turned on the heat in our building. -My old landlord used to do that, the last full year we lived there he didn't turn on the heat until fucking JAN! and that was with everyone telling it was too fucking cold; it wasn't until I nearly got a hundred and four fever on Christmas Eve and my husband called him and screamed that he came and turned the heat on! I was shivering and sweating with layers on! Fucking asshole didn't even believe us until he actually came over and then was like; Oh, it really is cold in here! Took days for the heat to actually heat anything ( ... )

jesus fucking christ, that landlord was a massive dick!!! i'm glad you guys are out of that place!!! our landlord finally turned the heat on in the building, BUT, for some reason, ours isn't working. we gotta get the super back up here before the weekend to look at it again to see wtf is wrong. good for your husband for screaming at your landlord, btw!! mine would've done the same!
-I thank God everyday I'm out of that place! At least your super looked it over; hopefully it works soon! Yea, he was so pissed about the lack of heat and me so sick, I was wearing socks, pants, two shirts and a hoodie with the hood covering my head and two blankets and I was still shivering! I was so hot and sick, I was telling him that i wanted to die! I just remember taking my cold medicine and sleeping alot. The next day was Christmas and we missed seeing my family, we slept most of the day!
