I laughed when too much at the face palm trilogy. Perfection.

I do not, for one second, believe kids who are in the default method of schooling were just dying to make a big class phone call

My guess is they were 'dying' for a break from school work.

The story of your kitty is so sweet. My Jynxie turns 13 this month (Hey! She can join the BSC!) and I hope she still has many years left. She's my angel baby sugar bucket.

But homeroom isn't actually a lesson. It's just check in, daily announcements, and general BS until school actually starts.

Aww, Happy Birthday to Jynxie! My cat Boots turns 14 on April 30th.

That's too sweet about Yoda. And, wow, he lived a long time. I had a Calico that lived to be 15, and she was an angel. Kitties are great medicine.

I don't think dealing with misbehavior via even more misbehavior is the way to go. Betsy is 8, and the BSC are supposed to be responsible, "experienced" babysitters, which indicates a level of maturity. If Mrs. Sobak is too busy dicking around about how "high spirited" she is to care, then the BSC should simply inform her that they can't sit for Betsy anymore because of her behavior. Not try to trick her back...that's fine from kid-to-kid, but if you're put in a position of responsibility over this kid, they need to handle it the mature way.

Mrs. Sobak doesn't have any problem just hiring someone else when her daughter drives people off, and she still hasn't apologized for that her daughter did. She knows her daughter's pranks are dangerous. The pranks Mal tried were all very mild pranks that couldn't possibly hurt anyone. Since they were the sort of mild pranks my own daughter and I would have fun with, I can't be against Mal. Betsy's the one hiding, concealing known dangers, etc.

I decided that this was because Cathy didn’t have any friends. I wouldn’t want to be friends with such a baby. --But you're "friends" with Mary Anne and she cries at the drop of a hat ( ... )

Right that's why Cathy cries all the time, it can't be because she's scared about having surgery or because she's in pain.

Dawn BROUGHT HER JUNK FOOD- Yes, let's keep this Dawn

They start talking dues, and oh snap, Claud owes dues from when she was in the hospital. Dawn says id Claud's broke, she can pay next week

No, Claudia shouldn't have to pay dues.

I still can't get over Mrs. Sobak had the nerve to call. The only calls she should be making is to her parents to pay the medical bills and to Claudia to apologize for her kid.

Claud managed to lose all my sympathy in one quick moment. Bitch snarked on her roommate.

Oh, blow it out your exotic ass, Kishi!! You aren't popular, either, you just think you are because you're in a cult! And I agree with road_baby, your homeroom classmates just wanted to do something non work-related.

We all know that even if Claudia had Cathy for a classmate, she'd be more than willing to do something nice for her if it meant not doing schoolwork.
