Mary Anne + 2 Many Babies Part 2!

Wow. This book. It's waaaay stupider than I remembered. I mean, I remember them taking their dumb egg experiment too seriously but the things they do...It just makes no damn sense. No one in their right mind would act like this. I knew the BSC was stupid and all have their heads up their asses but this is totally ridic! It goes right into the ( Read more... )

I showed this book to my 14 year old cousin. I told her that I wasn't pranking her and someone legitimately wrote this. I think she nearly got an aneurysm from the stupidity. WTF is up with these people? And two snarks in one day? I feel spoiled.

Yeah, the younger set has no idea of the tripe we read for entertainment. Now, I usually think that most books have at least some value but between this and Twilight I'm starting to question that. At least they have snark value.

Aw, thanks! I'm just up being bored and listening to music so I figured I'd do some more snarking.

The last Twilight book sounds like something Ann would've come up with. "Let's talk about this horrible, epic problem that will end life as we know it for six hundred pages than just talk it out as a misunderstanding." *bangs head on wall*

You know, at this point, I don't know if I should be relieved or annoyed that they didn't get dolls instead of eggs. They'd be spending money on clothes for the 'baby' then. Seriously girls, it's an egg. It won't get hungry, upset, wet, sick or feel pain.

And I don't think the world is going to end if you leave it at home. Tell the teacher you left the baby at day-care while you're at school. So what if 'day care' is a shoebox on your dresser? Is the teacher going to check? Little imagination, please?

Yeah, it's totally unrealistic how far they take things. All they do is make themselves miserable by pretending these eggs have feelings and must be treated exactly like a real baby.

We had to bring our diapered balloons to school for a week, but once I got home the little bastard (What? It's a family pet name. My Grandmother used to call me that all the time. Years later I found out she called my brothers and one of my cousins the same thing too.) got set on my dresser and I went about acting like a normal 11 year old who had homework, friends to talk to on the phone, horses to ride and books to read. But I didn't think my teachers were psychic, unlike Mary Anne.

Here's the cherry on the sundae for me. Somebody got paid to write this. Bets on if the writer was able to keep a straight face while writing it/reading over it again? I think if you took somebody with no sense of humor to read this book even that person would be cracking up.

I want to say they did a Sweet Valley book of the egg experiment. Jessica kept breaking her eggs. Which is to be expected since it was Jessica and all. That was funny to me then. But this might be funnier to me now since they're obviously not bullshitting. They're really this serious with egg babies. And I would love for Mal to point out how she might be younger but she's had to take care of a lot of younger kids. Her real brothers and sisters aren't something you can just turn in once the assignment is over.

Btw I'm loving the snark.

you think your teacher will know and snipe your ass is you don't treat a fucking egg like a human baby.--LOL

When you have a baby in Stoneybrook do you have to immediately drop it on it's head? --*applauds*

Did the author of this book lose a bet and have to write the most unrealistic thing they could think of?--I still think drugs were in the picture in some capacity!

I think that MA has totally low self esteem so she lets Logan push her around all the time. Someday she'll realise what a total ass he is and dump his ass.
