Dawn's Wicked Stepsister Part 2!

Apr 29, 2014 21:58

This book...man, this book. It's so awful. I have never seen such massive acts of bitchitude before. If you could strangle an e-book, I would. I want to reach in and slap Dawn across the face. Instead I'll just point out what an all around unpleasant hose beast she is. Be forewarned, there is a lot of cursing in this snark. I couldn't express ( Read more... )

Ann despises Mal. WHen asked where she saw all the girls today, Ann had answers for everyone but Mal, who she said she didn't have any feeling about one way or another.

Claudia should have offered to draw Mal like one of her French girls

As long as she's wearing this. Only this.

That title would imply Dawn is wrong. We all know the BSC is never wrong, even when they're being assholes.

Awww! Thanks for the Starbucks and bacon! I feel better already.

And yes! The title should have totally been Dawn IS a wicked stepsister! Because she's heinous! And it just gets worse and worse!

Shouldn't they all have seen the For Sale sign on MA's old house? It was right across the street.

It's stupid and obviously only added so Dawn could complain some more. Because she hasn't done enough of that in this stupid book.

MA is totally rubbing in that she's going to the dance while no boy wanted to go with the queen of the harpies.

So many parts of this are great, but I think this is my favorite, because I imagined that guy from The Simpsons shouting at Dawn.

Me, too. Though my fave part was the cactus. Must've laughed for five minutes straight at that.

:-p I'm a vegetarian, but I accept that most farmed animals would not be able to cope in the wild and these species would become extinct if not for the meat industry. I like seeing cute baby animals in the fields in the spring; therefore, being hysterically anti-meat would be silly and hypocritical ( ... )

Yeah, I have zero problem with the concept of being a vegetarian. I was for a while and my BFF and hetreo life mate is a pescatarian. I just don't like Dawn and Sharon's attitude of acting like meat is so disgusting they can't even look at it. And it's for your husband. How hard is it to cook some meat on the side? It's not like Richard said 'Can we have some meat and you better eat it too!' And like you said with the pasta, like yeah, why not make a veggie sauce and have sausages on the side? Or since this a relatively early book Dawn was still eating chicken and fish. Which just makes this whole problem all the stupider. There are plenty vegetarian meals that I love and eat just fine. I think it's just that Sharon is making something crazy like soybean tofu casserole with weeping fungus because that's what Ann thinks vegetarians eat.

Yeah, if they'd served up something like grilled chicken/salmon, grilled tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, peppers and corn on the cob, and mashed or new potatoes, maybe with a side salad/some green beans/peas/carrots/mange tout, pretty certain MA and Richard would have eaten it right up without even thinking about the fact they would be getting at least 5 different portions of veg in one meal. It'd still be healthy, but it'd also be delicious! I'd quite happily eat the non-chicken/salmon portions of that meal ( ... )

Stop talking about all this food. You're making me hungry. And what irritates me about Dawn and her health food is that she makes it sound so unappealing. I'm sure there are healthy recipes that taste good. But I guess Dawn wants to be a martyr. What also irritates me about Dawn is that she has to bitch constantly about other people's food choices. They aren't forcing you to eat it. Why does it matter?
