I was always bothered by the way they put Dawn on top on the side of the cover! If there's anyone who should be looking down on the other babysitters, it's KRISTY. What they should have done was just put the pictures in order of when the girls joined the club, and then poor Mal won't have to be the last one. Sheesh, even the cover artists hate Mal.

I hate to keep commenting and defending poor Mal, but wow, what a terrible description from the author! Did they ever stop to think that maybe this could describe many of the book's readers?

The "Kristy's absence" B-plot is a LOAD of ridiculousness. It's all too damn clear how much Kristy Kool Aid those girls have drank, and it's sad. Very sad.

That Claudia outfit is fucking EPIC. Wtf, Claudia, I can't even DRAW unicorns much less paint one on a shirt ;_; Jealous, jealous, jealous. The Stacey outfit, though? 'Scuse me while I barf into a bucket.

Oh god I hate Suzanne Weyn ghostwritten books. They're always the most ridiculous, feature characters acting in the most obnoxious, flandarized ways, and have really shitty lessons for the 10-to-13-year-old audience these books are aimed at. -_-

All that stuff about Abby being bad at running the BSC is total bullshit. Does nobody remember the baby parade fiasco? My guess is that Abby ruined her chances on purpose because if she did a better job than Kristy the other girls would rise against their oppressor and Kristy would become a super villain. Abby's just thinking about the greater good.

How the Hell did Stacey even find Robert at the mall?! I can't imagine looking for someone in a crowded place and just happening to find them. I mean it's possible but really unlikely, right?

Of COURSE the BSC member has to have an even better boyfriend waiting in the wings. That sure helps all the girls who break up with their boyfriends and *don't* get an even better consolation prize. Not to mention the implication that singledom is always bad.

That's cheating, Robert. In order for it to be a proper smize, the mouth has to be visible so the viewer can tell that it's not just a regular smile with a covered up mouth.

So, someone has to mop up Mary Anne's drool whenever Sheila walks past her?
