Holy crap I've been away for a while. I've been so busy that I sort of forgot BSC Snark existed for a while xD Plus I haven't had the money for new BSC or Karen books. But I sort of left you hanging with my previous snark, so here's (finally) the exciting conclusion!

I love Claud, but yeah, in this book, she sucked. I felt so sorry for Melissa and I thought Russ & Peaches were beyond patient!

Ugh, the later books when every character became a cartoon of themselves and situations turned into unrealistic soap operas the likes of which not even "Passions" had. Am I such a nerd to be offended and find this down right disrespectful of the reader?

Poor Melissa. I definitely feel her pain.

Now that I'm reading more BSCs I am starting to notice that the ghosties seemed to flanderize the characters over time.

Kristy became even more bitchy, obnoxious, and dictatorial. Mallory became even more of the butt monkey. Claudia became even more wangsty and melodramatic. Stacey's personality became New York and New York only and Jessi no longer has a mind outside of dance. Some of the ghostwritten stuff makes me wonder how Ann approved them.

Maybe it's because she was my fav, but I feel like Dawn really got shafted. I mean, remember when she stole the credit card and ran away? From "level-headed" Dawn? And they just totally tried to make a comedy out of Claudia's trouble with school. What adult takes cheap shots at a pre teen who seems to have a learning disability? I think they tried to save face with Abby, but it was a classic case of too little, too late.

The only way kids in my school - back in the same Day as the BSC reigned, obvs - would've been mad about two kids going missing would be one of two reasons - 1) it prevented people from getting to eat lunch on time or at all, 2) it kept them from being able to go home, even if it was field trip.

Major points for mentioning Punky Brewster! I love her myself! Claud definitely went about helping Russ and Peaches in the wrong way!
