I can't get my car up the small hill to my parking spot, so I parked somewhere else and my landlord was all "you need snow tires" rather than actually telling me what vacant spots I can use instead of taking someone else's...yeah my tires right now are irrelevant to the fact that I need somewhere to park my car...... Stacey having to take insulin for the rest of her earthly life is irrelevant to the fact that Charlotte, an 8 year old, has to take penicillin.

How did Stacey get the prescription filled? It seems highly irresponsible to allow a sick 8 year old to walk to the pharmacy, wait at the pharmacy and then walk home with a 13 year old (totally ignoring the illogicality of a 13 year old being able to get a prescription for an 8 year old she is not related to, with no adult present)

Maureen did show up long enough to take them home, so I assume she bought the prescription as well, though that seems to be asking a lot of her compared to her involvement with the houseguest thus far.

Let me guess. The ghost she was was really a workman. These kids have issues, and Charlotte is severely neglected.

Stacey's mom drives them to Doctor Dellenkamp's office, and then leaves to do the grocery shopping.--I don't want to make it sound like I'm stepping on toes here. I know a lot of people were jumping on a snarker doing the Susan book because Susan's mom wanted a few hours a few days to take a break. Stacey's mom's job searching--I'm not snarking that. It just seems like Maureen has plenty of free time to do her grocery shopping, ya know? She really couldn't sit there at the doctor's office with Charlotte, get a diagnosis for Charlotte's problem and do the shopping later? Overall I'm treating Charlotte like she's in Maureen's care. I know Stacey's hanging out with and playing games, etc. And I'll admit I might be the one looking at it wrong. Charlotte's mom called the cult, she didn't personally contact Maureen first. Idk, something about this just rubs me the wrong way ( ... )
