And we are back and high on painkillers, rockity rock, rock… So we last left off with Ms C having a 4.5 week long hangover and the class has a new teacher, Mrs H… who really is not that bad, is quite a realistic teacher…
I never understood stupid pranks on teachers like the book-drop thing. In high school everyone tried to trick the sub by writing stupid names on the pass-around attendance sheet, like "Heywood Jablome" or "Ben Dover." It wasn't funny, it wasn't cute or clever, it just made them look like douchebags. The "mean" subs liked me because I was well-behaved and did my work and didn't try to pull fast ones on the subs. But of course it was always the sub who was mean and they were all perfect little persecuted saints.
I admit if one of my teachers did that "You have to dress up" thing though I wouldn't obey that either. That's retarded, and what exactly can the teacher do if you don't comply? Give you detention? For wearing clothes? Give you a (oh noes!) ~zero???~ My fifth grade teacher used to have "dress-up days" where she wanted kids to come fancy dressed for no reason. I played along the first two times and just stopped after a while 'cause it was dumb.
though in all my grade schools, the teachers would give us new seating plans once a month so we would get to know the other kids I wish they'd done that at my primary school. In 6th grade (yes, it's part of primary school in NZ - Mallory would be mortified) I was stuck in a desk pod with a bunch of bullying assholes for the whole year.
The Hoff wasn't too smart using the word "chores". All the primary school teachers I had made jobs sound like a huge honour so the kids would all want to get picked to do them.
Watson tells Karen not to use the word hate as it is not a good word to use… This is where it pays to have a good vocabulary, then you can say "OK, I detest, despise and loathe him/her/it!"
Karen tells the class to play tricks on Hoffman. Pamela does not want a part of thisI love how it's portrayed as a BAD thing that Pamela's refusing to bow to peer pressure. Go Pam

My favorite teacher had the same rules as the Hoff. And you know what? If we had to read or draw quietly before class, the bullies couldn't get at me! :D I even ended up friends with most of the kids in class because she made it be known that the kid that was always reading and getting A's (yours truly) was the one the other kids shouold want to be like. It was nice. :D
