21- Karen's New Teacher ch 7-14
And we are back and high on painkillers, rockity rock, rock… So we last left off with Ms C having a 4.5 week long hangover and the class has a new teacher, Mrs H… who really is not that bad, is quite a realistic teacher…

though in all my grade schools, the teachers would give us new seating plans once a month so we would get to know the other kids
I wish they'd done that at my primary school. In 6th grade (yes, it's part of primary school in NZ - Mallory would be mortified) I was stuck in a desk pod with a bunch of bullying assholes for the whole year.
The Hoff wasn't too smart using the word "chores". All the primary school teachers I had made jobs sound like a huge honour so the kids would all want to get picked to do them.
Watson tells Karen not to use the word hate as it is not a good word to use…
This is where it pays to have a good vocabulary, then you can say "OK, I detest, despise and loathe him/her/it!"
Karen tells the class to play tricks on Hoffman. Pamela does not want a part of this
I love how it's portrayed as a BAD thing that Pamela's refusing to bow to peer pressure. Go Pam!
I like to think that the reason Pamela suddenly got a much lower mark than usual in something that is completely unsubjective is because Ms. C usually gives her 100% in everything just for pwning Karen.
Karen writes a paper about Carrie
For a moment I got really excited.
Hey, Hoff? During the 3 years I was freelancing I wore nothing but jeans until it got too hot, and even worked in my pyjamas at times, and my work was good enough that one of my clients hired me full-time.
