I forgot how much I loved this book and as I haven't done a snark for a while, I figured now is as good a time as any! Aren't you all lucky?

I can't help but feel a little jab of anger each time someone gets mad at Mallory for being sick/tired. I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and there are times when I am so tired I can't even think straight. I've broken down and cried when I had alot that HAD to done, but I was too tired and sick feeling to barely stand up. So yeah, I hope they all feel bad when Mal gets Mono in the next chapter. (Though, honestly, most of my friends and family don't get the CFS thing, even though I've had blood tests, etc.)

I have a feeling where this is going, and I can't wait to see how bad Wendy is! Glad to see you snarking again! :D

Awww, sympathies to both of you. I had glandular fever a couple of years back, so on re-reading this book, I feel really bad for Mallory too! I think it's pretty accurate too, she's tired and doesn't know why which is exactly how I felt! Jessi and Kristy were less than sympathetic to poor Mal.

SLE and Fibro (just got diagnosed with that on Wednesday! Hooray!) over here!

Still, my little sister generally wins the "my life sucks" game - she's been ill for over 6 years straight now, from the age of 12 onwards, with CFS as her official diagnosis, even though she's always had chronic pain with it too (if some doctors are happy enough co-diagnosing CFS and Fibro, not sure why hers wouldn't; she does also have diagnoses for IBS, hypermobile joints, sticky blood - i.e., brain fug caused by sluggish circulation *on top of* the CFS fug, and the cramps and knots that come with the poor circulation adding to the constant pain). Imagine what this has done with her schooling. Then take into consideration the fact that her old school (where I went) is very academically driven, and given the choice of supporting somebody who's got chronic issues, or piling on the pressure in what can only be viewed as an attempt to make them quit, go for the latter one...

Unless he needed a sitter for 10 minutes time, there is no reason he couldn't wait as it would take anyone that long at least to come back. Obnoxious. --Well, Mr. Hill is a dickhead...

I'm sure Mama Pike loved you butchering her daughter's hair.--The Pike parents won't notice.
