That book sounds fascinating. The Devin Gryason thing doesn't surprise me at all. I'm pretty sure that Devin Grayson was into RPG at some point and I'm pretty sure I read that she and Gail Simone played Dick and Babs to get into the characters when they were writing Nightwing and Birds of Prey respectively. Also have you read Inheritance? So fanfic-like. It is awesome and hilarious (possibly not in the way intended) and I adore it.

I... wow. I... do not know quite how to process that information! But that is amazing!

And no, I have not read Inheritance! Thank you for the rec, I will put it on the list! :D

Yay that you signed up for bandomreversebb! It's going to be so fun. I totally understand about writing-to-prompts anxiety, but you can make sure you choose a piece that really inspires you AND you have time to check them out without having to race to claim something.

Sorry, I am a teensy bit excited that other people are excited.

Also, damn you USAnians and your awesome-sounding cons across the pond, but I agree that Reading on the big screen is an EXCELLENT idea.

That challenge is an AWESOME IDEA, BB. So awesome, in fact, that I am happy to overcome my challenge performance anxiety to participate. :D I'm so excited to see what everybody comes up with!

And I am sad at our mutual across-the-pond-ness. :( Let us hope for sudden windfalls of cash, and/or the long-awaited harnessing of wormhole technology. By March. It could happen! <3

And he said he really identifies with the Punisher

It sure is nice that Chuck Dixon provides his own early warning system about his being A BIT of a dick!

I have my pompoms out (ooer!) to cheer you on your bandomreversebb way *\o/*

I really don't think I can make it to BP12 and yet I'm also pretty sure I might explode if I don't. Meep!

I'm actually kind of glad I didn't know what an asshat Chuck Dixon was before I read his runs on BoP and Nightwing, because I really enjoyed those and I don't think I would have been able to if I'd known. But now? Dude. What an ASSHAT.

*wolf-whistles at your pom-poms*

Not to pressure you but there will be a black hole of woe in my heart if you can't come. No pressure! I'm just saying. You should realize the consequences of your actions. THE POWER OF THE SELLECKSTACHE COMPELS YOU.

Yeah, I read ONE PAGE from early on in Supergods, just something I randomly flipped to, and I was like OH MY GOD I AM SO INTO THIS, but. There is also fic! And library books! So I am trying to prioritize. But man. I am REALLY ANXIOUS to read that.
