"I never fight with Sammy. I love Sammy."

Here is the part where I tell you all about my weekend, even though it was mostly really boring!

On Saturday, I got up early (relatively speaking), put on makeup, and went down to the DMV to get an enhanced ID (to facilitate border crossings, since my passport is expired and I don't have $70 right now to renew it). ( Adventures at the DMV, with bonus flat tire! )

books, kris allen is a human moodtheme, seattle wins at fangirls, hot pockets, writing, omg i actually do need an o.c. tag, omg my life is thrilling, david cook was created in a lab

And yes, probably! Or trying to eat it, since he tries to put EVERYTHING ELSE IN HIS MOUTH. Ahem. (Also, that's Michael Johns' puppy, apparently. AWWWWW. Named "David," I heard, though whether it's for Cook or Archuleta or total coincidence, I don't know. But AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. PUPPYYYYYYYYYYYYY.)

I'm thinking I may have to try to snag it on Wednesday, if it's still showing in Canada on Wednesdays. WE SHALL SEE.

I'm going to have to give Kavalier and Klay another try. I've started it twice, but found the headlong, breathless narrative in the first part hard to take. However, I recently finished The Yiddish Policeman's Union, which was spare and wonderful--I can't recommend it enough--and it reminded me of how much I like Chabon.

Yeah, it's... there is a LOT of setup in this book, and I'll be curious, once I get to the end, how much of it I feel was necessary. But I'm really enjoying it now. And I still have Wonder Boys on my shelf, too!
