I adore the O Canada vid so hard. I've had the song for a while knowing that there was going to be a vid and she used the exact clip I had in my head for sadistic little grin! I mean of course she did, because really what other option was there. But still, I went GLEE.

I kind of love it when Hugh messes up the lyrics. I don't know why. I think for me it feels endearing in the same way as his poor typing skills.

I think I am broken somehow, re: the lyrics. Because I find the typing adorable, too. I find basically EVERYTHING he does adorable. I don't know how to explain it! And, like, on those live tracks that malnpudl posted recently, there's a version of "Reno" where either the song changed drastically before they recorded it or he's getting like 5% of it right--it's nuts. And not that I blame him, because I can't remember half the lyrics to that song, even though I love it (srsly, if you want to stump me with Headstones lyrics, that song is a pretty good place to start), but still. I dunno, it makes me all embarrassed on his behalf. I am weird! Because clearly HE doesn't care, and neither do the rest of the guys (who are trying to sing harmony, poor boys, and in case I have not mentioned it lately, Trent has a very nice voice, have you noticed?). Perhaps I would make a bad musician?

Hello. As for Rita: Maybe she goes home at night and rocks out on Rock Band. You just don't know. Rita was one of those people who did tonnes for Canadian music by having bands of all kinds on her show where they got national exposure. I bet the boys were thrilled to get on "Rita and Friends."
