The necklace was a gift from another guest who made it for me.

No apologies necessary. Like I said, I was just happy to see everyone there--oh! I meant to ask you...did you happen to see that another person from your world arrived? His name is Mads...he was a friend that was here between the first time you were here and when you came back.

[She looks so pleased to tell him this. Hooray for another friend from New America! Perhaps Nick and Mads already know each other. Wouldn't that be wonderful?]

[He's about to say something more. But it is the mentioning of that name that stops him. His smile fades and he sort of pales. Kind of like his brain is short circuiting.

[That is not a good reaction at all. Bryn maintains her smile, but a little more cautiously now.]

There is a man named Mads who is also from New America? When you left the first time he arrived. I got to know him a bit, and he left. Then you came back and now you are both here at the same time. I haven't had a chance to reintroduce myself but...do you know him?

[She's really, truly thrilled. Bryn hadn't expected Ironhide to enjoy her party at all.]

[Changing her form is something she's become rather accustomed to, but she can't be sure what it would be like for a robot to become human, or how much of a shock that might be.]

[It would take a crowbar to get the necklace off of her. Really. Bryn tucks it away carefully every night so that it doesn't get damaged. It's quickly become one of her most sentimentally valuable items. Period.]

It was no trouble and...as I said I'm just so pleased people seemed to enjoy themselves.

[She lets him lapse in calling her Miss Bryn, this once, though there might have been a small twitch to her expression when he said it.]

No, he has no idea how she got Desuyan clothing. As far as he'd known, all of it had been destroyed long ago.

Yes! I did, or at least, I think so. They're certainly not from my world but they're awfully comfortable, and a nice break from the Elizabethan gowns I've been wearing.

[Bryn's eyes go wide at the sight of Asuka's clothes, and she covers her open mouth and then laughs once.]

I suppose it was too much to hope for that Lord Deior sent me some pants. I...I can return these at once, or if you don't mind waiting I can at least wash these ones before returning them to you. They came in a very nice bureau as well. Perhaps that is also yours?
