Not one of my best days

Remember last week when I mentioned some 15 jobs I had to unschedule and remove from our system (There were actually over 30 jobs)? Well, the minor glitches from that have been plauging us all week. All fixable, but nagging reminders of how I messed things up ( Read more... )

Damn. One of the characteristics of being a bad supervisor is degrading your workers in front of their peers. I'd give advice about how to deal with him. But I'm known as a rather incendiary (and yes, that's the right word) personality at my own job.

Hang in there, Tim. The fact that you've done your darndest to rectify things, and that you obviously care about how your work is regarded is a sure sign of integrity and profesionalism. At the moment I'm currently in the dog house myself for partially missing a deadline on some show drafting (which is why I'm still drafting tonight) due to project overload. At points like this you just pay attention and do the work ... total perfection all the time may be an excellent standard - but it's also an expectation that is realistically appropriate on another planet.

Glad to hear that the roofer is definitely going to do his thing, and that fuel prices are improved for us all.
