Mac: Mighty Mouse and WoW

I recently got a new keyboard, one of Apple's aluminum ones, and love it. No problems there. I also got one of their current Mighty Mouse units, and I am having problems with it. In particular, it does not reliably register a single Secondary Button click (as assigned in Sys. Pref.) as a right click in WoW. Has anyone else had that problem? Anyone ( Read more... )

Note that the mouse itself won't recognize a right click if your left finger is resting on the other button. It's using capacitance (think touchpad) to detect where you're pushing down on the mouse, not pressure.

Even worse, this means you can't chord right+left together, ever. This is how I often run through the wilderness while typing with my other hand... Need to use auto-run when using the Mighty Mouse.

Or program the "ball press" button to be run - my WoW seems to do that automatically for me.

What both of these folks said. It's not a WoW problem but a mouse behavior problem.

I can't help you at all with this, but I feel your pain as I switched from a Mighty Mouse to a little 14 dollar Kensington mouse because of this very problem - it was not responding like I needed it to while raiding.
