Taking a very quick break from my history of american military policy study-rama! I don't know why i do this to myself...i wait until the last minute and study my brains out. I usually make a B at worse...but i could definitely be a 4.0 student..but just can't motivate myself until the pressure is really on. I've been thinking more and more about ( Read more... )

i actually despise most of US history. are you still an anthropology major? i've been considering a teaching certificate too, just because it would be nice to have something to fall back on if need be. rutgers has a two year program teaching public schools in the city, but i've heard the kids can be real demons. decisions, decisions.

its listed as a minor right now. I don't really know why, i just love US History. Favorite aspect being the revolutionary war and the Civil war... Second love in history would definitely be "Asian" History (for that i can thank Ms. Snow). Just so interesting. Yeah, i'm not sure what to do. I'm trying not to let it stress me out...but as i approach my 20th birthday i feel more and more like i should have a clue as to what direction my life is heading and i'm discovering that i actually don't have one(a clue that is)....if that makes any sense...

I could definitely see you as a teacher. And yea, motivation seems to be the hardest thing there is when it comes to school.

If you think you should take a break, I support that. I'm sure there's tons you could do and experience in that year and it could give you time to gain some contacts, some money, and re-juvenate yourself for your education. The volunteer program sounds excellent, actually, and I think you'd be great. And you'd have more time to decide on majors.

I think you'd be an excellent teacher, and why not try for both? Gain a certificate for the UN and teaching. Doesn't A&M offer that? If you can, do that, that way you can have more options. You're intelligent, no doubt, and you'd be great at anything you chose that you loved.
