Awkward School Day

Today was weird at school. At the beginning of each of my classes (I had three today), the teacher would ask us if we feel secure there or if they need to adjust the security level. Honestly I never give a thought like the VA Tech Massacre happening at the college I attend. Then again, I bet a lot of the students at VA felt the same way and ( Read more... )

I wouldn't call that stupid jmo. Eh, I'm afraid I don't know how to word this without sounding like a depressing Dora.... I feel that bad stuff can happen to anybody during anytime. You might be safer going in the mornings than in the afternoons. Hopefully all the loonies are asleep at this time of the hour. That's my thinking style anyway. I'm afraid I don't really have a guard problem. If anything I think my guards are totally reaching up to the sky by now. I guess that's the nervous nellie in me talking.

Would you personally though go shopping at 2 or 3 in the morning at Wal-Mart? I know it sounds crazy, but you are able to park near the door and there's no huge crowd in the store so you can get right in and right out. I do agree with you about how bad things can happen to you at any time or any where you're at. There's no safe spot in this world.

I wouldn't. It doesn't sound crazy to me though. Just a personal preference deal for each person. Not crazy at all imo. I can see the benefits of shopping that late though. You made some good points.

Huh...interesting. We've talked about it in my classes, but none of my teachers asked what we thought about security. I find that weird because my school is very similar to Virginia Tech in terms of the student body and it could just as easily happen here.
