As I say in the wrap-up post which I'm finishing drafting, I rather consider July 1st as Honorary June since the majority of months lead us to expect 31 days. ;)

Oh, now that you point it out, there are some similarities between Celebrimbor and Harry--children of powerful parents who died violently, both being targeted by a dark lord in different ways. Is Harry in Middle-earth, or is everybody else in the wizarding world? Or are they both kind of the same thing here?

IS Ginny similar to Nerdanel in your mind, aside from hair color? :D

Awesome! I like your way of thinking, since it allows me to get away with being forgetful. ;)

I've always seen the wizarding world as being our own world, and therefore something like the 7th Age of Middle-earth. So Celeborn, Maglor, etc, are still here hanging around with wizards, Namo occasionally sends elves he doesn't want to deal with (aka Celebrimbor) back to be supervised by their relatives, and everyone else is still in the jolly ole land of Valinor or the Halls. :D I'm glad somebody else sees the similarities between the two! At least I'm not going completely insane.

Ginny and Nerdanel are only superficially similar in my mind, in that they both like their careers/hobbies. Other than that, not really. My Nerdanel is calm, a peacemaker, etc. Ginny, on the other hand, is not. She's far more similar in personality to Feanor. My Celebrimbor is actually more similar to his grandmother than Ginny is.

I do like the idea of Maglor interacting with Rowling-style wizards in the present age. :)

I wouldn't have pictured Nerdanel and Ginny as being much alike either, other than superficially.

Maglor and Celeborn are my main ones who interact with modern wizards (or technology). One day I'm going to actually finish the Maglor adopts Harry story, and this won't just exist in my head. :P

I'm glad I'm not alone in seeing them as dissimilar.
