End Up Like This (“We’re Sorry, Celebrimbor” Month)

Summary: Harry is glad his cousin ended up getting his happy ending, after everything he's been through.
“She’s better for you than she ever would have been for me.”
Celebrimbor looked at his cousin, who was standing next to him, looking out at the garden where the rest of their family stood. “You can do magic like her though, and you’re less complicated.”
Harry laughed. “But I don’t love her." He looked at his cousin, as though knowing what he had been thinking about all day. "And you know, I think the Valar will be kind to all of us, and you all will spend far longer than you expect together. Then we’ll all somehow end up together, and Ata will be yelling at the rest of your family about how no, this isn’t just Celebrimbor acting like their father, how can they not see that Ginny and their mother are entirely different from one another?”
Celebrimbor smiled. “Do you really think he’ll do that?”
Harry laughed again. “Have you met my father? Seriously, he’ll probably end up chasing them around with his sword if they’re not careful. And if he doesn’t, the other side of my family - who somehow all think you’re just the most adorable precious little Noldo, who needs to be protected and kept safe - will be chasing them with bows.”
Celebrimbor blushed, smacking his cousin on the back of the head. “They do not see me like that! Unless you’re saying that they see you like some tiny little baby wizard, who somehow defeated the big bad wizard.”
“Maybe they do!” Harry said, before getting more serious. “Did you ever think we’d end up like this?”
Celebrimbor looked at Ginny, laughing at something Celeborn had said and then shooting a spell at the trellis to make it overflow with sparkling roses and fireflies. “No, but I’m glad it did.”
Harry nodded. “I’m glad it did too.”
Note: I've always thought that in my little every expanding AU, where Harry is raised by Maglor, Celebrimbor and Harry would have an intriguing number of similarities between the two. I think they'd get along, even if it's just because of the pressure of trying to live up to what they think everyone else wants.
