I'm glad you included Kahlan's horrified face after hearing the prophecy that she'll betray Richard.
I wonder if we're supposed to think that if Shota doesn't warn Kahlan about this betrayal thing, then maybe Kahlan rescues him from Denna sooner (since shouldn't she be able to confess a Mord'Sith? But on the other hand, Denna seems like a better fighter than Kahlan at this point) and then Kahlan confesses Richard in a moment of passion.
Because if there wouldn't be any negative consequences from not warning Kahlan, why tell her? It just precipitates her betraying Richard by leaving him in the next episode.
And Shota doesn't care about sacrificing Gryff to Demmin Nass - or Zedd and Kahlan, since she knows they'll be with him. She annoys me in this episode.
Thanks - I'm really a little embarrassed by it TBH.
I realized the deadline was coming up, and I had the caps, but instead of doing a detailed summary/review with the complete caps, I just threw them all together in a collage, and wrote a little blurb about the episode. I do love the Kahlan WTF expression.
I find Shota to be a very problematic character. From what we know, she was the origin of the Prophecy about Darken and was urging Carracticus to have him killed right after his birth. And she does use Gryff without compunction in "Identity" just to protect Richard (who she doesn't even like). Seriously, does Shota really like anyone?
But she's also fascinating. I want to know more about her - the past relationship with Zedd, her own history, etc. She's a great character who's very morally ambiguous - my favorite type. D
I haven't read your "Identity" fic yet, because I wanted to get this done first. I'll read it later tonight. It looks intriquing - especially since we never are told much about Calabra.
From what we know, she was the origin of the Prophecy about Darken and was urging Carracticus to have him killed right after his birth. I liked your explanation of that in Darken's diary, that there was always a prophecy about the Seeker defeating an incredibly powerful evil, and it's Shota who specifically named him.
I do think Shota's an interesting character, but it bothers me that she's willing not only to sacrifice Gryff, but also that she doesn't care about what'll happen to Zedd and Kahlan. In Shota's plan, Gryff takes Richard's place and dies instead of Richard when he fights Demmin Nass. But then what? Do Zedd and Kahlan kill Demmin? Get captured or killed? Why doesn't Shota care, if not about Kahlan (whom she really doesn't seem to like) then about Zedd?
I liked the hints of Shota and Zedd's past relationship - I wish they'd explored that more.
Thanks. I felt as if I really didn't know what I was doing since I was working with a program I had never tried before. It did turn out better than I thought it might.
As for getting into graphics - I can do more than I used to, but still can't work with layers, blend or do a lot of other things I would love to do.
Photoshop is too complicated for me, and Photobucket just changed their photo editor to Pixrl - which I really dislike. Fotoflexor may have had its limitations, but at least I was used to working with it, and was becoming more adept at using its functions.
Ugh, yes, I occasionally do last minute touchups at Photobucket and I despise the new editor D:
Photoshop looked horrifying to me all those years ago but trial and error helped, there were included tutorials, later when I had regular internet access (dialup!) I found more, and that one day course I was lucky enough to go on taught me a ton of stuff. But it's still a lot of experimenting and reading how other people do things. I wonder if Paintshop Pro or Adobe Elements might be an easier way to get into graphic making? They are other programmes people swear by. But I think you're doing great :D
ASDARSDTASDAR PFFFFFFFFFFFFSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT. Thank you, darling! But you have to keep in mind that I've been doing this quite intensively for YEARS. But really, I love it, because your arrangement is creative and the crops are lovely!

(No Shota icon, so it's Zedd again)
