I swear to God, I am never again going to be so foolish as to countenance a situation where one of the bills for the flat I'm living in is still in the name of someone who doesn't live there anymore.

Apparently it's completely OK to cut off phone and internet two weeks before I move out of my house and me begging for this to be avoided through the simple expedient of calling BT is an unreasonable request )

aggro, flatmates

Thanks.

It's the strangest thing. I think the landline must have been cut off, because the phone wasn't working when my friend Joanna tried to call me yesterday (can't check it now, because for reasons best known to himself, R seems to have taken the phone when he came by earlier today -- really don't know why he would have, it was a crappy phone and don't they give you one when they install a landline?). And of course the word from BT is, apparently, yes, it was cut off on the 11th. But the internet is still connected. It says it's "SKY12021" which I assume is the same Sky connection it's always been. I've decided to simply let the matter slide and keep my fingers crossed. (Ohhh wait, it says "Public Network." Does that mean what I think it means?)

I can't figure out how to download the files... the page is here.
