It's raining, hallelujah.

Well, no looking back now. The rains have begun, and this being Vancouver, they may well go on until May. Or perhaps the sunny weather will return and we will have a September summer. All I know is that I had forgotten that I remembered rain in Vancouver. Calm, steady, determined, oozing out of the atmosphere almost... well, once the fifteen ( Read more... )

That rain was the only bright spot in this weekend for me. Dad said to me "There, your precious park is safe now" and I just bawled my eyes out because safe is such an alien concept to me right now.

Oh Ookie...why?

Zel, I don't know how to communicate with you -- I don't dare comment on your journal. Your last entry frightened me, though.

I was reading your entry going..."Why is she still in Vancouver?" but then I read back a few entries more carefully, and realized why. I also hope that you find a way to go there before too long. I recall thinking you were quite excited about the idea of going, and I really thought you would enjoy the opportunity. I hope you make it. However, I well understand the problem with money. (As you already read, I am trying to do as many of my old jobs in a couple week period as I can to make money before I leave for Australia). Don't worry, you are still young, and lots of things ahead. You will find something good to pay the bills I am sure. What is the poem? It is really nice. Hope you are liking it back in Vancouver at least. I am sure it feels nice to be home for a while. :)

Yes, being home definitely has its perks... for instance, if I stay here, Mum and Keith have so much furniture and household items knocking around that I can set up house at basically no expense. And besides... it's been four years since I've wintered in Vancouver. It's an appealing idea. (The verse is from "Home" by Sarah McLachlan, by the way... it's on her "Solace" album.)

You must be getting so excited about going to Australia! Good luck saving up.
