Update

So what's been happening recently?

Saturday - was the Ordination service for our Pastor.  He's been studying theology at Spurgeons' College two days a week the past three years.  Next Saturday he graduates.  The College have said he's been different.  Most of their students are Students who have some Pastoral role in a Church.  He's ( Read more... )

Did he go as far as putting a tv to broadcast the matchs, like some did in Germany?

No. Don't think we, quite, have the technology, nor the TV licence. Though several Churches locally have been showing various matches on big screens in their halls. Anything to get people in & show them we're only people too! But with a totally amazing God.

the pastor I heard in Germany said "jesus invented everything, football as well. I'm sure he rejoices to see people having so much fun at his place".
I thought that was kinda surreal. (been raised by a very "serious" priest in a classical church)

No danger of it being short. Like I said, it's 5' now & I haven't finished the first ball of any colour yet. I was thinking of about 12' - no point in loading you too heavily, you don't want to look like a scarf-draped Christmas tree!

& I'm not hurrying, just knitting at my normal speed. What d'you want to do with the rest of the yarn?

BTW - the Pastor wouldn't need to buy the TV licence, not for the one at the Chapel anyhow. The Church would.

hehe.yeah that was just kinda a joke on "ownership rights" and fair use of origional works :)
Umm.. whatever you'd like to do with the excess is fine. Again, I just didn't want to come up short:)
