We Survived

The heat.  Yes, I know, it only got up to the mid-thirties (°C) and we had the benefit of some sea breezes, but that was hot enough for us.  Particularly as the temperature didn't seem to drop that much overnight.  Yay the electric fans!  Yay also the British Summer being 'three or four days of HEAT, then thunderstorms.

Congratulations on the tomato.
I haven't planted any this year, concentrated on strawberries and raspberries. The conclusion is no more strawberries (about 2 fruits/ plant is just not worth it), and yay for raspberries.. More of those please :)

Our strawberries have been delicious, though a tad small today because excessive (for us) HEAT the other weekend.

Aujour d'hui il pleut. So maybe we won't have to a) water either garden - as the rain's been blowing against the front of the house

and

b)refill the water butts from the tap this time!

Meanwhile, when it dries up a bit, we might go out and see what needs draining a bit.

Currently chucking it. Yellow weather warning, current named storm rattling through!

At least the arrangement we made to keep the tomato pots in place on the shelf appears to be working, so they're surviving, as well as delicious. I'll have to go out and check once things have dried up slightly.

And if you will live in the south of France . . . Even without Climate Change due to Global Warming.
