I let men pay for the drink in our first date. Then, if he proposes a place/ diner/ activity, he pays. If I do, then I pay.
I don't see why I should pay part of an expensive diner in a place I would never have chose on my own.. What's the point? I might I well go there alone and pay for myself if that's what I want. I always have the necessary amount of money with me, just in case... And chances are if he asks me to split we won't see each other again..

There are always ways to be more rational in our lives, and the amount of things we think we want/ must have..

Oh, and the day you "really" turn purple I definitely want to see a picture !
