Bank Holidays FTW

...I've only been back at school 4 days and I already can't wait to stop. Meh. After five years of the exact same people in the same clothes every single day, it is quite easy to get fed up.

Birthday was good. I didn't get masses off presents and stuff (3 to be precise) because as lovely as my friends all are, they aren't half crap ( Read more... )

Video editing-- Windows Movie Maker comes with Windows; it should be in your program files if you're on a Windows machine. I will say that it's a bear to use, takes forever to load in clips and crashed my machine repeatedly (which is why there have been no further videos, ha). But, I used to have a PC that I'd souped up for video editing, using an outdated yet semi-professional program, and that still crashed my machine repeatedly. So, that just might be the nature of the beast. Still, WMM did do the job in the end.

A lot of people use Sony Vegas and love it; I just got my hands on it, but haven't given it a go yet, so I can neither give my own stamp of approval nor mention potential downfalls. But I've heard good things. :)

I used to be a professional videographer and did lots of the sorts of videos you're talking about; I can't really explain how to do it since each one's different and a lot of it's intuition, but if you like, I'd be glad to take a look at what you cut together and give you feedback on it.

Ooh awesome thanks, I just searched the program files and WMM is there. I'll give it a go on there, because I doubt I'll be doing masses of video editing in the future, so I don't really feel like going through small amount of trouble of buying/searching the internet for Sony Vegas. Although I do like it's name.

Oooh it would be awesome if you could check it for me, thanks! This is pretty much completely new territory for me.
