I wonder sometimes why I still put filters on these. I'm not sure anyone reads them anymore. I wonder why I'm still so scared to speak the clear, unfiltered truth. I wonder sometimes why I even bother writing here at all

What's important isn't whether it works for me (it still does, although I think I've got lower expectations than I used to). What's important is whether it's working for you. If it isn't working for you, then the question is whether you write because you have an audience, or whether you write for yourself, or whether you just write because you don't know what else to do. Then go from there.
