Besides the misspelling of some of the show names, hi. :) Can't help but wonder if some of the Anglophiles you see here go away still as keen on our little island once they've visited...

Yes. :) I love your little island, I felt as if I'd come home. I cried when I left.

**sheepish grin** Oops! Sorry about that! That's what I get for not proofing my entry--LOL!! I'm sure that I would not want to go away! Everyone that I have met has only come back here saying that they can't wait to visit again. I can't wait to visit one day!! :)

Couldn't help noticing that in your British mysteries, you missed out the best of them all "A Touch of Frost". That's some awesome shehoozy.

**bangs head against wall** How could I miss that one! Yes, fan of A Touch of Frost, too! :) Thanks for pointing it out :)

and, speaking of David Jason, I confess to a sentimental fondness for "Darling Buds of May". I imagine some folk find it too twee, but I think it's kind of charming in an innocent, fun-loving kind of way.

I've been watching Taggart, a British mystery that I don't think I've ever seen on the TV here in the US; I'm getting it from Netflix. But it's *the* longest-running police/mystery show in the UK (so I understand), hugely popular, and (most important to me) set in Glasgow, a city I've come to love.

There's another series I'd love to see that Netflix doesn't have: The Sweeney, a police drama that John Thaw did about ten years before he started the Morse series. Supposed to be terrifically good.

Sounds great! Thank you! Can't wait to see it! Personally, I think that John Thaw was absolutely brilliant, so I'm sure that I will love The Sweeney. Although, to me he will always be "Morse". :)

I've heard! Yes, Big fan of Midsommer Murders. Hey! This is probably really old news to everyone, but the newest box set for Midsommer Murders has a tentative US release date of Oct. 3, 2006 for anyone who is interested in purchasing it. :)
