Immigration companies are great but can be expensive. If you've got the money to spare, then defintely go forit. I would call around and speak to a few different companies first. In my experience, most immigration companies are geared towards businesses so may not have the experience to apply for spousal visas.

My husband and I did the K-1 process ourselves with no major problems (he's the Brit, I'm the American).

I'm sure a company would be good to help you make sure you are doing the process properly and to help keep you on track, but I found visajourney.com to be just as useful, informative, and not to mention, free.

Nice Murloc icon btw :-P we're WoW geeks too.

We used an immigration lawyer and I'm very glad we did. I'm not familiar with immigration companies, but the lawyer helped a lot.

If there are no complications at all, you should go for it on your own in my opinion. A company may or may not know how to fill out the forms better than you do at first, but there are lots of online resources and you'll be much more invested in doing it properly and quickly than a company or a lawyer would be. :)

In a situation without complications, a company or a lawyer are not going to help your chances of approval (which are very high anyway if you don't have any complications).

We did the UK to US immigration on the K-1 and honestly my lawyer caused us so many problems, I just did the AOS myself. I got the AOS in less time than it took the K-1.
