Brief thought for the day: My e-mail account occasionally spams up link adverts and two today were "Discover Your Crush" (not the correct site address) and IGotScammed37Times.com (apparently that IS the correct site address). I can sympathize; I've got several well-meaning neighbors who are always trying to influence me in matters of love and employment, or who want me to fix their computers, or who try to get me to go to church with them. That's why I never leave the house by the front door, or if I do leave to go out for a walk, I'll walk the next block over so that I don't have to deal with them seeing me. It kind of makes me feel like a bad person, but I guess I'd rather be a curmudgeon than be mildly inconvenienced for a few minutes out of my day.

Good fences make good neighbors. At least fences don't try to drum you out of the neighborhood for indulging in a few drinks or pry into your love life. Well, I guess that's not really what Robert Frost meant, but I think the literal meaning of that line is more pertinent. Build a big fence around your house with gun turrets - that way, nobody will bother you ever again.

Well, I solve the problem by being a night owl and rarely leaving the house. :)
