I have a strange preoccupation with getting the mail. I absolutely love it. There's just something about walking out to a box in front of your house and there's things for you inside. When you think about it, the US Postal Service is truly an amazing thing ( Read more... )

I love getting the mail, too! It's weird, but i get this tingly little excited feeling in my stomach, even if it's alot junk. I still love it!

I read the junk mail all the time, I'm happy when I see an envelope with "You may already be a winner!" As a child, I had dozens of pen-pals so my mailbox was always filled with a postcard or a hand-written letter. Those days are few and far between because of e-mails, IMs and text messages.

I know, I get so excited with those, and those ones that have the checks inside them? They always turn out to be those really high-interest credit card advances, but that moment of joy at free money is worth it.

People really underestimate the value of a handwritten note these days. I should mail you one.

OMG I love Rachael Ray. I have all the 30 Minute Meals cookbooks. If it werent' for her, I would have no idea how to cook at all.
