Have to agree with you about Beck's he just wants to play football but Hollywood keeps trying to reel him in. Thought you would be interested in this http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/oddballs/article.html?in_article_id=56772&in_page_id=46

I read it off of the http://www.cookandjones.co.uk/hollywood_utd.htm

This seems to be the global site but I'm not sure.

Hopefully America will get tired of the Beckhams and go back to following TomKat and Brangelina!

yeah, the site is jonesy's site since he seems to be heavy into the team:D did you read he's the leading goal scorer for them? so weird - but i don't want to see him out of his jersey again!

I second that! Well I wouldn't mind seeing him out of his uniform as long as he was wearing some clothes... I never need to see him shirtless EVER again!

what's silly is that the majority of the soccer players playing for hufc are retired. becks is far from that, so they should lay off for a few years...

My Father says if Pele can't make Americans enjoy soccer, the Beckham won't be able to neither. The only difference is poor Pele had to suffer the humiliation of playing in the Coloseum, which holds 100,000. Beckham will be spared that indecency being the home depot is a 1/2 that size, so it will never seem empty.

My Father LOVES soccer and can't understand why if I like watching sports so much ("especially one as boring as baseball") why I don't like soccer. I explained that the main reason I like watching sports is so that I can using my piercing high pitched scream. Soccer does not afford me many opportunities for jubilant celebrations...and the "side out" thing really confuses me.

i can totally see that - i don't try and push soccer on anyone b/c i feel to each his own. i enjoy watching it b/c i enjoyed playing it, and loved watching my bro play for years, but i'm not going to force somebody to watch the sport, especially b/c i am one that dislikes watching baseball other than at the actual game and only will watch the kc chiefs games and playoff games for the nfl. i haven't even gotten back into basketball since the jordan-run bulls. and while nascar is exciting on the track, it's a bit tedious on tv.

sports are always better live anyways.

we'll just have to take you to one of the games with us where you find more opportunities to scream;)

Most ppl I know who like watching soccer also played. The only sports I participated in was swimming and frankly that is Snoozeville to watch, even live.

I think going to live events always enhances the experience.

How long is the soccer season? I ask b/c I do need to see Cobi play just once. I will sport my UCLA colors. ;p

mel and i are looking to go to the sept 16th or some game in oct pending our schedules - the dallas game is open in sept too, but i saw the home opener against them, so i'd rather see houston or someone else;)

the oct 18th game will have a tribute to cobi since that's the final game for him here.
