I accepted an offer of full-time employment with the company that I'd been contracting with. It's my first job with benefits since June 2004 and I am very pleased.

I realized today that it's be like forever since I've posted here. I hope that any remaining friends I have on here (Hi Joan!) are doing well and things are going well for all.

I arrived in Redmond last Friday (10/22/2010) and started work on Monday (10/25/2010), for only a few hours that day. That was because all my stuff arrived on Monday afternoon. Unfortunately, I was late on getting the internet installed, so it just went in today ( Read more... )

After three months here, I'm leaving Louisville. I got another job and I'm moving to the Seattle area, where I lived for most of the 1980s.

There was once a contract mechanic, who got a six month job with a shop. The project was to use a kit to build a car, with a bunch of Genius Mechanics, who had apparently completed several cars in the life of their shop. The kit provided the basics, although the details were left to the mechanics who were building it ( Read more... )
