That morning, Nothing woke up giddy. There was a charge in the air. It was a little cooler, and if he shut his eyes, he could almost imagine the smell of autumn. He pressed a kiss to Tobi's shoulder where his face had been resting, unfolding from their bed and stumbling outside with nothing but his leather jacket wrapped around him ( Read more... )

"Wait 'til I get my teeth in," he said, matter of fact, putting the sticky side down carefully over Tobi's pulse and smoothing down the thin latex edges. It would look better with some make-up and blood, but so far, it wasn't too bad.

Something about it made Nothing's mouth water, just a little.

"Let it dry for a minute," he said, turning back to the mirror and fumbling with the little packet of vampire fangs. They were caps, the good kind, and when he got the plastic open, he pulled out the instructions, scanning over them and then pulling out the little capsules of molding material.

Tobi obediently tipped his head back as Nothing stuck the thin piece of latex to his skin, trusting the other boy completely to know where it'd look best. Once on, he reached a hand up to lightly touch it, fingers skimming over the slightly raised bumps as his grin widening as he turned to see what it looked like in the mirror.

"Will it itch later?" he asked, turning back to Nothing again, gaze darting down to the piece of paper Nothing was carefully reading.

"Probably. Halloween makeup always itches." And smells funny. Cheap chemicals and oily grease paint.

"These things take five minutes for each tooth," he muttered, tossing the directions aside and picking up the little tub of grey grease paint. He'd mold the fangs later.
