also, on an entirely unrelated, minor note-- I thought I was totally done with Supernatural because there had been a long string of soulless episodes that didn't seem at all like they fit in with the series... and so i was just watching because this main story is almost over... and then this last week's episode recaptured the soul that was missing. -

I like this place. I like this life. I like the classes I have. I like the people I meet. I like the way I'm doing things. I like everything right now. It's great. -

You know how you feel one way and you assume everyone else also feels that way until something happens that makes you realize that, no, they don't, and you're really different?
Yeah. I've got that-- I am apparently far more accepting of the inevitability of death than my classmates. Hmm. -

I think I would like to, at some point, have enough money saved up to do nothing but cook for a week. Or two.
That would be nice. Try out new recipes. Be like the dad in 飲食男女.
I did like making all my own food in Iowa. It was good. Damn good.
And making bread for holiday dinner just made me feel happyhappy. -
